Cost of Gemming Heroes to Max

How much does it cost to gem both heroes to max? Several individuals have created posts about the cost of gemming your Barbarian King and Archer Queen to max level, but if you’re like me, you’re probably not going to build your heroes and gem them both to their max level on day 1. In fact you couldn’t since there are caps on hero levels at each Town Hall. More likely, you’ll grind the Barbarian King to level 10 at TH8, build your Archer Queen at TH9, catch her up, grind them both to 15 or maybe even 20 before you get bored and start wondering what you need to sell to pay for the gems to max them.

Well I’m here to help.

Below, you’ll find a table that will help you calculate exactly how much it will cost you to upgrade from level to level, but also from any level to max.

The bad news is that you’ll need to come to terms with spending thousands of dollars. The good news is that it’ll only cost you the equivalent of a 1999 Honda Civic. So if you’ve got one of those laying around, throw it on Craigslist and get ready to wreck with your level 40 heroes.

Barbarian King

BK
As you can see above, if you were to gem your BK straight through to level 40, it would cost you a total of about $1,065. Chump change, right? What about the AQ?

Archer Queen

AQ
How about a measly $1,150 to fully max the AQ. Not bad, right? That brings our grand total to $2,215 to max both heroes. So now when you see those Champs trolling global with max heroes, you’ll know exactly how much they spent to get there.

Or if you’re the type to grind it out all the way, you can find solace in the fact that towards the end, you’ll be saving yourself over $40 per level!

A few notes on these numbers.

I based all my calculations on Clash of Clan’s Wiki gem calculator. I assume it is accurate.

In addition, if you were to actually do this, I would assume you’d end up with about 40 gems left over. That’s because the second you start each upgrade, the timer rounds down, therefore, gemming a week (worth 1,000 gems) would instantaneously become 999 gems.

It also assumes you never have any Dark Elixir. You could cut these numbers down tremendously if you just did a little grinding.
